New Choker for Sale!

Hey! Just finished making this - it's up and available for purchase, so go take a look! Meant to fit snugly at the neck, like a true choker, it's pretty and playful. I'm especially pleased with the inclusion of genuine garnets in the design, and with how the total pattern came out. Like most of my jewelry, I free-hand design it, so each piece is truly unique.

Fun with garnets

Starting another piece - I had some garnets I wanted to use up. This will be the base pattern of the piece - but once I finish building the length, I'll start in on embellishing it.
I switched my thread to the higher quality Fireline brand - and after working with it, I don't think I'll back to regular beading thread. The Fireline is much more sturdy - and doesn't require any pre-waxing!

Prototype upheld through it's test run!

Good news! The prototype for the kanzashi style barrette was a success! With the trial taken care of, expect to see some of these hair ornaments in the store!

Sneak Peak - Sunshine & Daisies

I'd like to have been able to post this to inventory this evening - but it'll take quite a few more hours to finish it (and after several hours of working on it, my eyes need a break!). But - I can give a sneak peak! The camera doesn't do justice to the spiral effect pattern of the beading - but the color depiction is fairly accurate :-) It will eventually be a lovely choker length necklace :-) The bright sunshine and daisies look is both cheerful and charming! Perfect for the coming spring and summer! (Or any season, really!)

I decided that it would probably be a pretty good idea to put together a blog for Selkie's Boutique. This way, if you can't find any listings in the store, you can always check over here to see what's going on. Chances are I've got a few projects in progress - and I'll keep everyone updated on how it's coming along!
